A new studio for your stained glass patterns

September 11, 2026
From your first idea to a printable pattern: create with AI, reshape the pieces and see your glass in the light. The studio has been redesigned to support each step.

Smoother SVG patterns

July 25, 2026
SVG patterns now have smoother outlines, keep round pieces round, and no longer add an unwanted rectangular frame around circular designs.

Community patterns

March 29, 2026
A new community pattern page where you can share your stained glass patterns with others and browse patterns shared by the community. Export any pattern to your preferred scale as PDF for printing or DXF for Cricut and laser cutting.

AI colorization

March 27, 2026
You can now import lineart (black and white) stained glass patterns, and the AI automatically colorizes them to imagine what the piece would look like without you having to manually set colors.

Create cut lines

March 23, 2026
Generates precise lead lines for each glass piece by detecting the piece boundaries and sampling points along the path. The algorithm computes adaptive vertex angles along the outline to accurately represent concavities, convex tips, and other geometric features, ensuring the cut pattern matches the intended design while respecting glass cutting constraints.

Cuttability analysis

March 23, 2026
Scans each piece for potential cutting hazards:
  • Deep concavities – Detects narrow inward notches that could cause cracks.
  • Sharp tips – Flags fragile convex points likely to chip.
  • High concavity ratio – Identifies pieces whose area is much smaller than the convex hull, likely impossible to cut.
  • Narrow necks – Measures local width along the piece and flags sections below safe glass-cutting thresholds.
The system applies sustained-violation filtering, arc-length-based sampling, and scoring to provide both warnings and errors, yielding a score per piece from 0 (impossible) to 1 (easy), and helps prioritize adjustments before cutting.

Merge cut lines

March 20, 2026
Simplifies the pattern by combining adjacent or overlapping lead lines, removing redundant points, and ensuring clean continuous paths. Deduplication prevents closely spaced issues from duplicating the same warning, improving both visual clarity and manufacturability of the pattern.
