Stained Glass Studio Β· From design to glass

Choosing a beginner stained glass pattern

Begin with a design you can understand piece by piece. A low piece count is a useful starting filter, but the shape and size of each piece matter more than the total.

What to inspect first

Favor broad pieces and gentle curves. Look for narrow necks, deep inside curves and tightly packed junctions. The examples below have at most 25 pieces where a count is available; they are not certified beginner-safe patterns. Review them at your intended dimensions.

Make your own version

Use the prompt below as a starting point, then adjust the subject, outline and palette. Review the generated pieces in the studio before printing. The community examples are real shared projects; their inclusion is inspiration, not a guarantee of cuttability.

A prompt to try

A simple sunrise over three rolling hills, rectangular stained glass panel, broad shapes, gentle curves, a small amber, green and blue palette, no intricate details or narrow pieces.
